We’re living through a wild time.
Whether you’ve finished your quarantine, you’re on week 8 in your studio apartment, or you’ve been going to work every damn day, this film is about you.
The past few months have been a lot of things. Weird, arduous and even inspiring at times. I’ve been struggling to come to terms with the simultaneous enormity of our collective experience vs my cramped Brooklyn isolation. I kept thinking that there were so many people in countries I’d never been to, pacing in their kitchens just like me. I felt a juxtapositional immense gratitude to be healthy and an overwhelming anxiety to not be able to help more. I was so curious what it’s like out there, for all of you.
The idea behind this film is simple: I’d like to stitch together each of our varied experiences in isolation into an anthropological visual postcard. We’ve all adapted our lives somehow - and I want to document those changes - so we can think about how this experience will start to shift larger systems within us, and within society.
We will all document our lives on one day - Wednesday May 27, 2020 - filming ourselves on hold with unemployment for the 49th time (too real), staring at a wall, maybe on our first train ride back to work, or gearing up with PPE in the ER. We’ll talk about how this time has been for us personally, what has changed?
I’m not sure yet where the finished film will live or be shown - but it will definitely be shared with all of you. And if you have any questions - please email me here.

How to participate:
1.Register
It takes 2 minutes, maybe less.
You will then receive an email with more details to help guide you on shoot day.
2. Film Yourself
On Wednesday May 27, 2020 - film as much or as little of your day as you please. The more you film, the better the movie will be but…no pressure.
Filming on your phone is great! No need to stress about not having a camera. Of course cameras are also welcome, but not required.
Turn your phone and film horizontally and you’re all set.

3. Upload
On the 27th, you’ll receive a Dropbox link in your email where you can securely upload your videos and voilà - you’re done!
*Remember to register on the Google Form before 5/27 so I have your email and can send you the Dropbox link*
